🏠 This release tracker is part of our complete guide to the best budget wireless earbuds — every model in that guide is one I have tested and can buy today.

The biggest budget earbud releases of Q4 2026 are still arriving. The quarter is nine days old as I write this, so this page is a tracker and not a round-up. Two launches are on sale, two more have a price and a November date, and one gets its full reveal on October 14.

It picks up where my Q3 2026 budget earbud releases record stops, and the rules are the same. Every entry is tied to the maker's own page or to dated launch coverage, each card lists its sources, and leaks stay out of the comparison table.

One more thing, plainly: I have not tested any of the Q4 launches yet. My hands-on experience is with the 30+ earbuds reviewed elsewhere on this site. Where a button points to a model I have tested instead of the new one, the label says so.

Where Q4 stands — October 9, 2026

  • On sale: UGREEN ClipBuds Pro 2 ($99.99 list) and the JLab JBuds Mini ANC in its new Jélle finishes ($42.99).
  • Priced and due in November: EarFun Air Pro 5 ($89.99) and JLab JBuds Open Sport 2 ($52.99).
  • Reveal pending: Fairphone Fairbuds 2 on October 14, reported at €119 and $119.

The pattern so far: open-ear designs. Two of the four priced entries leave your ear canal open, and the only new sealed ANC model with a date is the EarFun Air Pro 5.

On Sale Since October 1

Two entries are purchasable in the US today. One is a new model. The other is an existing model in new finishes, and it is labelled that way.

1. UGREEN ClipBuds Pro 2 — Clip-On Open-Ear Buds With LDAC

✅ On sale since Oct 1, 2026List price $99.99

UGREEN put the ClipBuds Pro 2 on sale on October 1, 2026 through its own site and Amazon, according to SoundGuys. It replaces the ClipBuds Pro and is a clip-on open-ear design: each bud grips the edge of your ear and leaves the ear canal open. That means no noise cancelling, by design.

The spec sheet is strong for the style. UGREEN lists an 11mm titanium-composite driver with a dual-magnet system, LDAC, Bluetooth 6.1 and IP56 protection. Battery is rated at 10 hours per charge and 46 hours with the case, and a 10-minute charge is rated for about three hours of playback. For calls there are four microphones plus two bone-conduction voice pickup sensors. Each bud weighs 6 g.

The list price is $99.99, which sits right on my budget line. Notebookcheck reported a $79.99 launch promotion on October 5, so check the live price before paying full list. LDAC does not work with iPhones, as with every LDAC earbud. The app also offers live translation and AI assistant shortcuts. I treat those as extras until someone independent has tested them.

If you have never worn this style, read my guide on whether open-ear earbuds are worth it first. The trade-offs in bass and isolation are real.

✅ What stands out

  • LDAC and Bluetooth 6.1 in a clip-on design
  • IP56 dust and water protection
  • 46-hour total battery claim
  • Launch promotion to $79.99 reported on October 5

⚠️ What to watch

  • Not yet tested by me
  • $99.99 list is the top of the budget tier
  • No noise cancelling, by design
  • No independent measurements yet
Best forRunners, cyclists and office workers who need to hear their surroundings.
Biggest limitationOpen-ear means light bass and no isolation, and I have not tested it.
AvailabilityOn sale since October 1, 2026 at a $99.99 list price. A $79.99 launch promotion was reported on October 5.
Is the alternative a better buy?Yes, if you ride noisy trains or buses: sealed ANC earbuds will serve you better there.

2. JLab JBuds Mini ANC Jélle — New Finishes, Same Earbuds

✅ On sale since Oct 1, 2026New edition · $42.99

This one needs a clear label. Jélle is a set of new colour finishes, not a new model. JLab showed them at IFA in early September, and GearDiary's report gave October 1 as the on-sale date. The Jélle edition was listed at $42.99 on JLab's US store when I checked on October 9, 2026.

GearDiary lists five Jélle finishes across the earbuds and the matching JBuds Lux ANC headphones: Royal Caviar (deep blue), Pearl Next Door (iridescent white), Blush Fund (dusty rose), Fir Sure (green) and Gold Digger (gold).

The hardware is the JBuds Mini ANC described on my Q3 release record: a 6mm driver, Bluetooth 6.0 with multipoint, SBC and AAC, IP55 protection, ANC, and Apple Find My support in the case. Battery is 7 hours per charge and 25 with the case, or 5.5 and 20 hours with ANC on. I reviewed the original, non-ANC JBuds Mini, so that is the model my hands-on opinion applies to.

Biggest limitationSame short battery life as the standard version: 5.5 hours per charge with ANC on.
AvailabilityListed at $42.99 on JLab's US store when checked October 9, 2026.
Is the alternative a better buy?Only on price: the original JBuds Mini is cheaper but has no ANC and no Find My.

These three have a price from the maker or from dated reports, and a month or day attached. None can be bought in the US yet.

3. EarFun Air Pro 5 — The One Worth Waiting For

🔶 Due November 2026$89.99

EarFun teased its next flagship at IFA in early September and detailed it on September 28. The stated price is $89.99, with sales starting in November 2026 through EarFun's site and its Amazon store, in black, white and blue. No exact day has been given in the coverage I checked.

The confirmed specifications are 11mm LCP composite drivers, Bluetooth 6.0 with LE Audio and Auracast, a six-microphone system and QuietSmart 4.0 adaptive hybrid ANC with five levels. Notebookcheck lists LDAC, LC3, AAC and SBC, an IP55 rating, and connection to up to three devices at once. Battery is rated at 12 hours per charge and 54 hours with the case, or 8 and 36 hours with ANC on.

Two details are worth keeping in view. First, EarFun says Bose engineers provided acoustic engineering services for the noise cancelling. That is a claim to test, not a result. Second, the launch coverage does not mention aptX in any form, which the Air Pro 4 has. If aptX Lossless matters to you, the older model is the safer buy.

✅ What stands out

  • Six-microphone system
  • 54-hour total battery claim
  • Up to three devices connected at once

⚠️ What to watch

  • Not on sale yet, and no exact date
  • ANC claims are untested
  • No aptX listed in the launch specs
  • Not yet tested by me

Biggest limitationNot on sale yet, and the launch specs list no aptX codec.
AvailabilityAnnounced for November 2026 at $89.99. No exact day published.
Is the alternative a better buy?Yes, if you need earbuds now or want aptX Lossless: the Air Pro 4 has both covered.

4. JLab JBuds Open Sport 2 — Open-Ear Sport Hooks at $52.99

🔶 Due November 2026$52.99

JLab announced the JBuds Open Sport 2 at IFA with a $52.99 price (£49.99, €59.99) and a November release, according to GearDiary. It already has a product page on JLab's US store at $52.99, but that page showed it as out of stock when I checked on October 9, 2026. So I am treating it as announced, not on sale.

It is an open-ear design held in place by sport ear hooks. JLab's page lists 14.2mm drivers, Bluetooth 6.0, SBC and AAC, IP55 protection and multipoint for up to three devices. Battery is listed as 8-plus hours per charge and 45 hours with the case. The page's own FAQ says 8.5-plus and 44, so expect the final figures in that range.

GearDiary's report adds dual MEMS microphones, drivers reworked to reduce sound leakage, and a SoundBoost setting in the JLab app that trades battery life against volume and bass.

AvailabilityAnnounced for November 2026 at $52.99. Listed but out of stock on JLab's US store on October 9, 2026.
Is the alternative a better buy?Yes, if you train in a noisy gym: sealed sport earbuds block more, and the Sport X10 is one I have reviewed.

5. Fairphone Fairbuds 2 — Repairable Earbuds, Full Reveal on October 14

🔶 Reveal set for Oct 14, 2026Reported €119 / $119

Fairphone has teased a second generation of its repairable earbuds. Notebookcheck and Android Headlines both reported on September 30 that the full reveal is set for October 14, with a €119 price in Europe first and $119 in the US at a later, unconfirmed date.

What is confirmed so far is short: seven replaceable, modular parts, and LDAC support. Battery life, noise cancelling, Bluetooth version and water resistance have not been stated, so the comparison table shows dashes.

At $119 this sits just above my $100 line. It is on the tracker because repairability is rare at any price, and a worn-out battery is a common reason earbuds get replaced. I will fill in the specifications after October 14.

Price Watch: The Q3 Launches Are Already Cheaper

If a Q4 launch tempts you at full list price, look at what happened to last quarter's launches first. These are ordinary early discounts, not Black Friday prices.

Four of the five have already sold below list, two of them by $20 or more within three months of launch. That is five products, not a rule. Still, it is a fair reason to check the live price on any new model, and to keep my Black Friday earbud deals tracker open as November 27 gets closer. Full details on each model are on the Q3 release record.

Outside the Budget Tier, But Worth Knowing

These are above my usual under-$100 focus, or have no US price, but they show where the market around the budget tier is heading.

  • Samsung Galaxy Buds On — Samsung's first clip-on open-ear earbuds, announced October 1. They go on sale in South Korea on October 27 at KRW 299,000, about $220. A global release is planned, with no date or price yet.
  • Soundcore Sleep 4 and Sleep 4 Pro — Anker's new sleep earbuds, shown at IFA at $229 and $349. The standard pair is due in October and the Pro in November.
  • Soundcore AeroClip 2 Pro — a clip-on pair that records meetings and calls, shown at IFA with no price or date. The standard AeroClip 2 went on sale in September at $169.99.
  • Noise Master Buds Open — clip-on open-ear buds with "Sound by Bose" tuning, reported at about €119 and planned for late September. No US launch or price had been announced in the coverage I checked.

How This Tracker Works

Four statuses, kept apart.

  • New model — announced by the maker with a price, and purchasable in the US on or after October 1, 2026.
  • New edition — an existing model in a new finish or bundle. Same hardware.
  • Priced and dated — a price and a release month are public, but it cannot be bought yet.
  • Reveal pending — a reveal date is public, and most details are not.

Where the facts come from. First choice is the manufacturer's own announcement or product page. Second is dated launch coverage from established audio and technology publications. Every card links its sources, with the publication date or the date I checked the page.

Verified facts versus maker's claims. Prices, dates, Bluetooth versions, codecs and IP ratings are checked against the sources listed. ANC and battery figures are the manufacturers' own. Nobody independent has measured them for this article.

What is left out. Leaks, supply-chain rumors and "expected" successors. If a specification was not stated in my sources, the table shows a dash.

What is and is not tested. None of the Q4 launches has been through my hands yet. The buy-now section points to models covered on this site, and says where a full review is missing. My general process is on the how we test earbuds page.

Buy a Q4 Launch Now, Buy Proven, or Wait?

Buy a Q4 launch now if…

You specifically want clip-on open-ear earbuds with LDAC and are comfortable relying on a spec sheet and early coverage. The UGREEN ClipBuds Pro 2 is the only new model on sale this quarter so far. Look for the launch promotion before paying $99.99.

Buy a proven model if…

You need earbuds this week and prefer a pair with long-term reviews behind it. The EarFun Air Pro 4 and Soundcore Liberty 4 NC remain easy recommendations, and neither became worse because something newer was announced. For more options, my roundup of the best ANC earbuds under $100 covers the tested field.

Wait if…

The EarFun Air Pro 5 is what you want, or you are flexible on timing. November brings both that launch and Black Friday on the 27th, and my Black Friday earbud deals tracker lists a dated price to beat for each pick.

People Also Ask

What budget earbuds have launched in Q4 2026 so far?

As of October 9, 2026, two are on sale: the UGREEN ClipBuds Pro 2 (October 1, $99.99 list) and the Jélle edition of the JLab JBuds Mini ANC (October 1, $42.99), which is a new finish on an existing model. The EarFun Air Pro 5 ($89.99) and the JLab JBuds Open Sport 2 ($52.99) are both due in November 2026.

When does the EarFun Air Pro 5 come out?

EarFun has said November 2026, at $89.99, through its own site and its Amazon store. No exact day has been published in the launch coverage I checked.

Should I wait for Black Friday to buy new earbuds?

It depends on the model. Earbuds that launched in Q3 are already selling below list price in October, so they are reasonable candidates for further cuts on November 27, 2026. A model that only goes on sale in November is less likely to be discounted in its first weeks. I cannot promise either outcome, so set a price alert instead of guessing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Q4 2026 budget earbuds support LDAC?

Three of the tracked entries list LDAC: the UGREEN ClipBuds Pro 2, the EarFun Air Pro 5 and the Fairphone Fairbuds 2. Both JLab entries are SBC and AAC only. LDAC works with Android phones that support it and does not work with iPhones.

Is the JLab JBuds Mini ANC Jélle a new model?

No. Jélle is a set of new colour finishes for the existing JBuds Mini ANC. The hardware, the features and the $42.99 price are the same as the standard version.

Are open-ear earbuds good for noisy commutes?

Usually not. Open-ear designs leave the ear canal open, so they do not block train or bus noise, and neither open-ear launch tracked here has noise cancelling. They suit running, cycling and office use, where hearing your surroundings is the point. For a noisy commute, sealed earbuds with ANC are the better tool.

Will the Fairphone Fairbuds 2 be sold in the US?

Reports from September 30, 2026 say yes, at $119, after the European launch at €119. Fairphone had not confirmed a US date when I checked on October 9, 2026. The full reveal is reported for October 14.

How is this Q4 release tracker kept up to date?

When a tracked launch changes status, such as a confirmed date, a product going on sale or a price move, I change its entry and add a dated line to the update log. The date at the top of the page shows the last check.

Final Verdict: Q4 2026 Budget Earbud Releases So Far

Nine days in, Q4 2026 is an open-ear quarter. The one new model on sale, the UGREEN ClipBuds Pro 2, is a clip-on, and so is the next JLab sport pair. If you want sealed earbuds with noise cancelling, the only new launch with a date is the EarFun Air Pro 5 in November.

So nothing released this month replaces a tested pick. If you need earbuds before November, start with my best budget wireless earbuds guide. I will change the statuses here as each launch is confirmed, and add hands-on impressions once I have tested the new models.
