Best Wireless Earbuds for Battery Life Under $100 (2026)
Stop watching your battery icon drop mid-commute. Five long-lasting picks I've used day to day, compared by ANC-on battery, case life, fast charging, and real-world use.
💲 Price Note: We show price tiers, not fixed prices, because Amazon pricing changes daily and several of these models are discounted more often than not. Tiers were last reviewed on October 9, 2026. The price on Amazon at checkout is the one that counts.
📋 Table of Contents
Last November my earbuds died at hour six of a nine-hour trip, with the case already empty. Since then, battery life is the first thing I check — and the number on the box is rarely the number that matters. Most headline figures are measured with noise cancelling off, and most of us leave it on.
So this guide compares five true wireless earbuds under $100 on the figures you will actually live with: hours per charge with ANC on, total hours with the case, and how fast a short top-up gets you going again. Every battery figure below is the manufacturer's own, labelled by mode. What I add is how each pair held up in daily use.
🔄 October 2026 Update — What Changed in This Guide
We re-checked every pick's specifications on October 9, 2026, against the manufacturers' own pages wherever they could be reached, and found errors in the earlier version. Here is what we corrected:
- Two picks removed: the Soundcore Space Q45 and TOZO HT2 are over-ear headphones, not earbuds, and the battery figures we listed for both were wrong. They now sit in a short over-ear note with the correct numbers.
- Two picks added: the Soundcore P40i and Soundcore Space A40, both earbuds we have reviewed in full.
- Liberty 4 NC battery: Soundcore rates it at 8 hours per charge and 40 hours with the case in ANC mode, and 10 hours and 50 hours in Normal mode. We previously listed the Normal-mode numbers as ANC-on. Its case also supports wireless charging, which we had listed as missing.
- EarFun Air Pro 4 battery: the 11-hour and 52-hour figures are with ANC off. With ANC on it is rated at about 7.5 hours per charge, not the 9.5 we listed. Its case supports wireless charging too.
- JLab pick: now listed under its current name, GO Sport+, with JLab's 9+ and 35+ hour figures. Its rating is IP55, not IP66.
- Testing claims: the earlier version said we tracked drain rates on each pair. This guide did not run a timed battery test, and it now says so.

📊 Battery Comparison Table — Maker's Figures, by Mode
The column that matters most is per-charge hours with ANC on, because that is how most people listen. All figures are the manufacturers' own and should be read as upper limits: volume, codec, and temperature all pull them down.
| Product | Price Tier | Per Charge, ANC Off | Per Charge, ANC On | With Case, ANC Off | With Case, ANC On | Fast Charge | Wireless Charging | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Soundcore P40i 🔋 | $40–$80, sale-dependent | 12h | 10h | 60h | 50h | 10 min ≈ 5h | Yes | Longest gaps between charges |
| Soundcore Liberty 4 NC | $70–$100, sale-dependent | 10h | 8h | 50h | 40h | 10 min ≈ 4h | Yes | Commute and travel with strong ANC |
| EarFun Air Pro 4 | $60–$90, sale-dependent | 11h | About 7.5h | 52h | Not stated here | 10 min ≈ 2h | Yes | Call-heavy work days |
| Soundcore Space A40 | $50–$100, sale-dependent | 10h | 8h | 50h | 40h | 10 min ≈ 4h | Yes | LDAC listening on a budget |
| JLab GO Sport+ | Under $30 | 9h+ | No ANC | 35h+ | No ANC | Not stated | Not stated | Gym and outdoor sessions |
"Not stated here" means we could not confirm a manufacturer figure for that mode on the check date, so we left it out instead of estimating. Sources are listed at the end of the buyer's guide.

🧪 How We Picked — and What We Did Not Measure
I have used all five of these pairs myself — on commutes, in gym sessions, through long work-from-home call days, and while travelling — but this guide did not run a controlled battery benchmark. Battery-hour figures are manufacturer ratings; what I add is real-world usage context from hands-on use and from our full reviews. The Liberty 4 NC, Air Pro 4, and JLab were used for the first version of this guide in April 2026. The P40i and Space A40 were added in October 2026, drawing on the time I spent with them for their full reviews.
We only rank pairs we have used ourselves. That is why newer releases we have not yet had in hand, including more recent Soundcore P-series models, are not here, even where their spec sheets look strong. For the site-wide criteria, see the full earbud testing methodology page.
🔍 Maker's Figure vs What We Saw in Use
A rating and an observation are different kinds of evidence, so this table keeps them apart. The right-hand column comes from our own use and from our full reviews, which are linked so you can check the conditions.
| Product | Maker's figure, ANC on | What we saw | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|---|
| Soundcore P40i | 10h per charge / 50h with case | About 90 minutes of commuting a day, mostly with ANC on: the case went five full days without a recharge | Soundcore P40i review |
| Soundcore Liberty 4 NC | 8h per charge / 40h with case | About 7.5 hours per charge with ANC on at moderate volume | Soundcore Liberty 4 NC review |
| EarFun Air Pro 4 | About 7.5h per charge | About 7 hours with ANC on at 60% volume; about 6 hours on back-to-back calls | EarFun Air Pro 4 review |
| Soundcore Space A40 | 8h per charge / 40h with case | 7.6 hours with ANC on at 60% volume; case charged twice in two weeks at 6–8 hours a day | Soundcore Space A40 review |
| JLab GO Sport+ | No ANC; 9h+ per charge | Not battery-timed. Used for gym sessions and a run in heavy rain without a mid-week case charge becoming an issue | This guide |
The pattern is consistent: with ANC on, expect a little under the maker's ANC figure, and well under the headline number on the box.
⭐ The 5 Picks in Detail

Soundcore P40i — 60 Hours with the Case
If the only question is how long you can go between charges, this is the answer in this guide. Soundcore rates the P40i at 12 hours per charge and 60 hours with the case in Normal mode, and at 10 hours and 50 hours with ANC on. That ANC-on figure beats every other pick here, including the ones that cost more.
It matched how the pair behaved for me. At roughly 90 minutes of commuting a day, mostly with ANC on, I went five days before the case needed a recharge, and by day three I had stopped thinking about charging at all. When it does run low, Soundcore says 10 minutes in the case gives about 5 hours of playback.
| Spec | Maker's figure |
|---|---|
| Per charge | 12h Normal mode / 10h ANC on |
| With case | 60h Normal mode / 50h ANC on |
| Fast charge | 10 minutes ≈ 5 hours |
| Case | USB-C and wireless charging; doubles as a phone stand |
| ANC | Adaptive ANC |
| Codecs | AAC, SBC (no LDAC) |
| Multipoint | Yes, two devices |
| Water rating | IPX5 |
The trade-off is noise cancelling. The adaptive ANC handles steady low-frequency noise such as engine hum and transit rumble well for the price, but voices and office chatter get through more than they do on the Liberty 4 NC. There is also no LDAC, so Android listeners who want hi-res streaming should look at the Liberty 4 NC or Space A40.
Pros
- Longest battery in this guide, with ANC on or off
- Five days between case charges at about 90 minutes of use a day
- Wireless charging case that doubles as a phone stand
- Multipoint and adaptive ANC at a low sale price
Cons
- ANC is noticeably behind the Liberty 4 NC
- No LDAC support
- Bass-forward tuning won't suit every genre
- Occasional half-second lag when multipoint switches device

Soundcore Liberty 4 NC — 50 Hours, Stronger ANC
The Liberty 4 NC does not have the longest battery here, but it is the pair I would hand to most people. Soundcore rates it at 10 hours per charge and 50 hours with the case in Normal mode, and 8 hours and 40 hours with ANC on. So noise cancelling costs about two hours per charge by Soundcore's own figures.
I wore them through a full Monday of commuting, desk work, a gym session, and an evening walk, and they got through the day. In our full review, a charge lasted about 7.5 hours with ANC on at moderate volume, just under the rated 8. The ANC is the reason to pick these over the P40i: it took the edge off bus engine rumble and open-plan office chatter, and the transparency mode sounds natural enough to use outdoors.
| Spec | Maker's figure |
|---|---|
| Per charge | 10h Normal mode / 8h ANC on |
| With case | 50h Normal mode / 40h ANC on |
| Fast charge | 10 minutes ≈ 4 hours |
| Case | USB-C and wireless charging |
| ANC | Adaptive ANC 2.0; Soundcore claims up to 98.5% noise reduction |
| Codecs | LDAC (Android only), AAC, SBC |
| Multipoint | Yes, two devices |
| Water rating | IPX4 |
One battery caution: LDAC is power-hungry. Using it together with ANC cuts the rated per-charge figure further, and LDAC and multipoint cannot be used at the same time. If you want the longest runtime, stay on AAC.
Pros
- Noticeably stronger noise cancelling than the P40i
- 10 minutes in the case for about 4 hours
- Wireless charging case
- LDAC, multipoint, and a full-featured app with EQ
Cons
- ANC costs about two hours per charge
- Mic weakens on windy outdoor calls
- LDAC is Android-only and shortens battery life
- Case is a bit large for tight pockets

EarFun Air Pro 4 — 52 Hours with ANC Off
The Air Pro 4 has the biggest headline number after the P40i: 11 hours per charge and 52 hours with the case. Read the small print, though. Those are ANC-off figures. EarFun rates it at about 7.5 hours per charge with ANC on; in our full review we averaged about 7 hours at 60% volume, and about 6 hours on back-to-back calls.
That matters for the job it is best at. I used these for a full work-from-home Wednesday of Zoom calls from 9am, followed by an evening run. The call quality is the strongest here: on a rainy commute call, a colleague said I sounded clearer than on my office headset. But a 9-to-6 call day is longer than one ANC-on charge, so plan a lunch-break top-up. Ten minutes in the case gives about 2 hours.
| Spec | Maker's figure |
|---|---|
| Per charge | 11h ANC off / about 7.5h ANC on |
| With case | 52h ANC off |
| Fast charge | 10 minutes ≈ 2 hours |
| Case | USB-C and wireless charging |
| ANC | Adaptive hybrid ANC |
| Codecs | LDAC, aptX Adaptive, AAC, SBC |
| Multipoint | Yes, two devices |
| Water rating | IPX5 |
Pros
- Clearest call mics of the five in our use
- 52 hours with the case when ANC is off
- Wireless charging case and IPX5 rating
- LDAC and aptX Adaptive support
Cons
- Rated at about 7.5 hours with ANC on (about 7 in our review), shortest of the ANC picks
- Headline 52-hour figure is ANC-off only
- App is basic next to Soundcore's
- Bass-heavy tuning won't suit everyone

Soundcore Space A40 — 50 Hours in a Compact Case
On paper the Space A40 matches the Liberty 4 NC hour for hour: Soundcore rates both at 10 hours and 50 hours in Normal mode, and 8 hours and 40 hours with ANC on. The difference is price and size. The A40 is often discounted well below the Liberty 4 NC, and its case is small enough to forget in a pocket.
It was also the easiest pair here to live with. Using them 6 to 8 hours a day, I charged the case twice in two weeks, and I got through a five-day work-from-home week without charging at all. In our full review a charge lasted 7.6 hours with ANC on at 60% volume. On mornings I forgot to charge, a 10-minute top-up gave nearly 4 hours.
| Spec | Maker's figure |
|---|---|
| Per charge | 10h Normal mode / 8h ANC on |
| With case | 50h Normal mode / 40h ANC on |
| Fast charge | 10 minutes ≈ 4 hours |
| Case | USB-C and wireless charging |
| ANC | Adaptive ANC; Soundcore claims up to 98% noise reduction |
| Codecs | LDAC (Android only), AAC, SBC |
| Multipoint | Yes, two devices — not while LDAC is on |
| Water rating | IPX4 |
Its noise cancelling is good in offices and on transit but loses ground in wind, and the mic is noticeably weaker outdoors. If calls matter more than music, the Air Pro 4 is the better buy.
Pros
- Same rated battery as the Liberty 4 NC, often for less
- 10 minutes in the case for about 4 hours
- Compact, pocketable wireless charging case
- LDAC and multipoint support
Cons
- ANC drops off in wind
- Mic is noticeably weaker outdoors
- LDAC and multipoint can't be used together
- V-shaped tuning may not suit every listener

JLab GO Sport+ — 35 Hours, Earhook, IP55
The GO Sport+ is here for a different reason from the other four. It has no noise cancelling to drain the battery, so its rated 9+ hours per charge is what you get in normal use, and JLab rates the case at 35+ hours in total. For the price of a couple of gym visits, that covers a full week of workouts.
What it does better than anything else in this guide is stay put. The earhooks held through burpees, jump rope, and sprint intervals with no slipping, and the pair kept working through a run in a downpour. I did miss noise cancelling during weighted sessions in a loud gym, although the sealed fit blocks a fair amount on its own.
| Spec | Maker's figure |
|---|---|
| Per charge | 9h+ |
| With case | 35h+ |
| Case | Built-in charging cable |
| ANC | None; Be Aware mode lets outside sound in |
| Fit | Fixed earhook, three sizes of gel tips |
| App | JLab app with EQ presets |
| Multipoint | No |
| Water rating | IP55, sweat and splashproof |
Pros
- 35+ hours with the case in the under-$30 tier
- Earhooks stayed put through intense workouts
- IP55 handled heavy sweat and a run in the rain
- No ANC, so rated hours are close to real hours
Cons
- No noise cancelling
- Basic mic for calls
- No multipoint
- Hook design is bulkier than standard buds

🎵 Want Over-Ear Instead? Two Headphones That Outlast Any Earbud
An earlier version of this guide included two over-ear headphones. They are not earbuds, so they no longer count as picks, but if you do not need something pocketable they last far longer than anything above. These are the manufacturers' current figures:
| Headphone | Type | Battery, ANC On | Battery, ANC Off | Our Review |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Soundcore Space Q45 | Over-ear | 50h | 65h | Anker Soundcore Q45 review |
| TOZO HT2 | Over-ear | 40h at maximum ANC | 60h | TOZO HT2 review |
For more options in that format, see our best over-ear headphones under $50 list. Note that the Space Q45 was showing as sold out on Soundcore's own US store on October 9, 2026.
💼 Best Wireless Earbuds Under $100 for Long Work-From-Home Calls
A call day asks three things of an earbud: mics that hold up, multipoint so you can move between laptop and phone, and enough battery that you are not on mute hunting for the case. Calls also drain faster than music. Soundcore's own figures for the P40i show it: 10 hours of ANC-on music becomes 6.5 hours of ANC-on calls.
The EarFun Air Pro 4 is my pick for call quality. Its mics stayed clear with a ceiling fan running overhead, and multipoint handled laptop and phone together. Budget for a midday top-up: in our review, a charge lasted about 6 hours on back-to-back calls. If you would rather not think about charging, the Soundcore P40i has clear call mics too and the most battery behind them. The Liberty 4 NC is a close second on call quality indoors but picks up more wind through an open window.
🏋️ Wireless Earbuds with Best Battery Life for Gym and Travel
For the gym, the JLab GO Sport+. The earhook, the IP55 rating, and 35+ hours with the case are the right mix for someone who throws their buds in a gym bag and forgets them until the next session.
For travel, the Liberty 4 NC or the P40i. A long-haul flight is the hardest battery test there is: ANC on for the whole trip. The Liberty 4 NC cancels engine noise better and is rated at 8 hours per charge with ANC on, with 10 minutes in the case adding about 4 more. The P40i cancels less but is rated at 10 hours, which covers most flights without a top-up. Choose by whether quiet or runtime matters more to you.
☀️ Earbuds That Last All Day Without Charging — What to Look For
A 50-hour case does not help at 3pm if the buds themselves hold five hours. Look for three things:
- At least 8 hours per charge in the mode you use. With ANC on, the P40i (10h), Liberty 4 NC (8h), and Space A40 (8h) reach that by their makers' figures. The JLab GO Sport+ does at 9h+ with no ANC to run. The Air Pro 4 does with ANC off, but not with it on.
- A fast charge you can use at lunch. Ten minutes gives about 5 hours on the P40i, about 4 on the Liberty 4 NC and Space A40, and about 2 on the Air Pro 4.
- An ANC-on figure you can find. If a listing quotes only one battery number, check the test conditions before assuming it covers ANC-on use.
🛒 What Affects Battery Life in Earbuds? A Buyer's Guide
1. ANC Costs More Than the Box Suggests
Noise cancelling runs extra microphones and processing the whole time it is on. By the manufacturers' own figures for the four ANC picks in this guide, turning it on cuts per-charge battery by 17% on the P40i, 20% on the Liberty 4 NC and Space A40, and about 32% on the Air Pro 4. So always compare ANC-on figures when they are available.
2. Codec Choice Matters Too
Hi-res codecs such as LDAC use more power than AAC or SBC. As our Liberty 4 NC review notes, its rated per-charge figure falls to about 5 hours with ANC and LDAC together, against 8 hours with ANC alone. If runtime is the priority, use AAC and save LDAC for when you are sitting down to listen.
3. Fit and Seal Play a Part
A poor seal reduces passive isolation and can affect how much work the noise cancelling has to do, so fit matters when comparing real-world battery performance. It also tends to make you turn the volume up, which costs battery directly. Try every tip size, and use the fit test in the Soundcore app if your pair has one. If nothing seals well, our best ear tips for small ears guide covers replacements.
4. Idle Drain Is Real
Earbuds left out of the case and connected still use power, and a case slowly loses charge on its own. If you are storing a pair for a while, put the buds in the case and expect to top it up before you next rely on it.
5. Case Capacity Is the Rest of the Story
The total figure is simply the earbud charge plus the recharges the case holds. A pair rated at 10 hours with a 50-hour total has four recharges in the case. A pair that claims 42 hours but holds only 6 hours per charge has six recharges in the case, which means six interruptions to reach that total. Longer per-charge life is the more useful number.

⚠️ Earbuds to Avoid If Battery Life Is Your Priority
Big total, small per-charge
Listings that shout "40 hours" but hold only 5 or 6 hours per charge. You will be back in the case several times a day.
No fast charge
Pairs with no quick top-up, or with an old micro-USB port. A dead battery then means a long wait, not a coffee break.
One battery number only
If an ANC earbud quotes only one battery figure, check the manufacturer's test conditions before assuming it represents ANC-on use. ANC usually reduces battery life, sometimes substantially.
❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Which wireless earbuds have the longest battery life under $100?
Of the five in this guide, the Soundcore P40i lasts longest. Soundcore rates it at 12 hours per charge and 60 hours with the case, or 10 hours and 50 hours with ANC on. The Soundcore Liberty 4 NC and Space A40 are both rated at 10 hours and 50 hours, or 8 hours and 40 hours with ANC on. The EarFun Air Pro 4 is rated at 11 hours and 52 hours with ANC off, and about 7.5 hours per charge with ANC on.
Does ANC drain earbud battery faster?
Yes. By the manufacturers' own figures for the ANC earbuds in this guide, turning noise cancelling on cuts per-charge battery by between 17% and about 32%. The Liberty 4 NC, for example, is rated at 10 hours with ANC off and 8 hours with it on.
Are there cheap earbuds with a 50-hour battery?
Yes. The Soundcore P40i is frequently discounted to under $50 and is rated at 60 hours with the case, or 50 hours with ANC on. The Soundcore Space A40 is rated at 50 hours and is often on sale at a similar price. Under $30, the JLab GO Sport+ is rated at 35+ hours with no ANC.
Which earbuds last all day without charging?
Look for at least 8 hours per charge in the mode you actually use. With ANC on, the Soundcore P40i (10 hours), Liberty 4 NC (8 hours), and Space A40 (8 hours) reach that by their makers' figures. The JLab GO Sport+ is rated at 9+ hours with no ANC. The EarFun Air Pro 4 reaches about 7.5 hours with ANC on, so it needs a short top-up on a long day.
Which earbuds under $100 have both multipoint and long battery life?
The Soundcore P40i, Soundcore Liberty 4 NC, Soundcore Space A40, and EarFun Air Pro 4 all support two-device multipoint and are rated at 50 hours or more with the case. On the two Soundcore LDAC models, multipoint and LDAC cannot be used at the same time.
How can I make my earbud battery last longer?
Turn ANC off when you do not need it, use AAC instead of LDAC when runtime matters, keep the volume moderate, and use ear tips that seal properly so you are not compensating with volume. Put the buds back in the case when you are not listening, and keep them out of hot cars.
🏆 Final Verdict — Wireless Earbuds with Best Battery Life Under $100
Three of these five were used for the first version of this guide in April 2026, and two were added from our full reviews in October 2026. All five were re-checked against their makers' figures on October 9, 2026. Here is how they sort out.
Longest battery: Soundcore P40i. Twelve hours per charge and 60 with the case by Soundcore's figures, and still 10 and 50 with ANC on. At about 90 minutes of commuting a day, the case went five days between charges. If runtime is the whole point, this is the pick.
Soundcore Liberty 4 NC is the best all-rounder: less battery than the P40i, but noticeably better noise cancelling, LDAC, and a 10-minute top-up worth about 4 hours. EarFun Air Pro 4 is the one for call-heavy days, as long as you plan a midday top-up. Soundcore Space A40 matches the Liberty 4 NC's rated battery in a smaller case, often for less. JLab GO Sport+ is the gym pick under $30.
