Finding great wireless earbuds under $100 used to mean accepting a trade-off. Buyers either got decent ANC with average sound, or great sound with weak noise blocking. In 2026, however, the Realme Buds Air 6 Pro changes that completely.

These earbuds combine a dual-driver setup, LDAC hi-res wireless audio, and noise cancellation up to 40dB — all for about $70. That combination is very rare at this price. In fact, most earbuds in this range cut corners on sound quality. Not this one.

After two weeks of daily use — commuting, back-to-back Zoom calls, and late-night music sessions with LDAC on — here is everything you need to make the right decision.

The best part of the Realme Buds Air 6 Pro is clearly the dual-driver setup. Pairing an 11mm dynamic driver for deep bass with a planar tweeter for clear, sharp highs creates a wide, detailed sound — something you simply do not find in most earbuds under $100.

Moreover, instruments are well separated across the soundstage. Vocals sit cleanly in the center, and bass hits hard without covering the mids. Overall, the sound quality alone is the biggest reason to choose these earbuds.

With LDAC turned on for Android, streaming high-quality music from Tidal or Spotify at maximum quality shows clear improvements. More detail, more air around vocals, and tighter bass all become easy to hear — noticeably better than AAC. Furthermore, the difference is most obvious on well-recorded tracks with good production.

That said, LDAC does come with one trade-off. Once you turn it on, multipoint — the ability to connect to two devices at once — turns off automatically. For most music fans, however, this is a small price to pay for noticeably better sound.

LDAC is Android-only, but iPhone users are not left out. On iOS, AAC is used instead — and it still sounds very good overall. In fact, for most casual listeners, the gap between AAC and LDAC is hard to notice on everyday tracks.

By default, the sound is tuned with a slight V-shape — a bit more bass and brightness in the highs. If you prefer a flatter, more neutral sound, moreover, the Realme Link app gives you 8 EQ presets and a fully custom EQ to adjust things to your taste.

The Realme Buds Air 6 Pro claims up to 40dB of noise blocking. In practice, it performs very well against low-frequency noise. For example, bus engine hum, air conditioning, and office background noise all nearly disappeared during our tests.

Furthermore, the adaptive ANC mode uses built-in microphones to detect your surroundings and adjust in real time. During daily commute tests, this worked impressively well. Overall, the ANC performance feels like it belongs on earbuds that cost 50% more — which, at this price, is a remarkable result.

Transparency mode is one of the better ones at this price. Unlike many cheaper earbuds, it sounds natural rather than hollow or robotic — letting you hear the world around you without removing the earbuds. In addition, switching between ANC and transparency is quick with a simple long-press.

On the other hand, high-pitched sounds — like a colleague speaking directly to you — still come through even in full ANC mode. However, that limitation applies to all earbuds in this price range, not just the Realme.

Call quality is good, but it is not the strongest point of the Air 6 Pro. In quiet rooms and on calm streets, voices come through clearly. However, in busy or windy places, callers sometimes said our voice sounded a little processed.

For everyday calls, these earbuds work perfectly fine. That said, if you spend four or more hours daily on Zoom, Teams, or phone calls, the EarFun Air Pro 3 is worth considering — it has a clear edge in mic quality. For music and ANC use, on the other hand, the Realme wins by a wide margin.

Real-world battery results closely matched Realme's claims. With ANC off and volume at about 65%, we got 7.5 to 8 hours per charge every time. With ANC on, that dropped to about 5 hours — which is normal for earbuds in this class.

As for the case, it holds enough power for about 36 hours in total. As a result, most people can comfortably go 4 to 5 days between charges — which, in other words, covers a full work week for most users.

One standout extra feature is wireless charging on the case — something very rare under $100. Even better, a quick 15-minute USB-C top-up gives you about 2 hours of playback, which is handy when you are in a hurry.

If battery life is your top concern, the Soundcore Liberty 4 NC (2026 tested) offers up to 50 hours in total. However, it does not include LDAC or a dual-driver setup.

The Realme Buds Air 6 Pro has a clean in-ear design with a short stem. Compared to its price, it looks and feels far more premium than expected. On the front of the case, a small LED light shows battery status, and the magnetic closure snaps shut with a satisfying click.

Overall, the build quality is very solid. In fact, holding it next to earbuds that cost twice as much, most people could not tell the difference. Moreover, the dark color and angular shape give it a refined look that stands out clearly on a budget.

Fit was secure for most of our testers during commuting and light workouts. The box includes four ear tip sizes (XS, S, M, L), making it easy to find the right fit. Moreover, a proper seal is key for the ANC to work at its best — so getting that fit right truly matters.

On water resistance, IPX5 means the earbuds handle sweat and light rain without any problems. That said, we would not suggest swimming with them or leaving them in heavy rain for long periods.

As for controls, they are easy to use and fully customizable in the Realme Link app. The default setup — tap to play or pause, double-tap to skip, triple-tap to go back, long-press to switch ANC — feels very natural from day one. In addition, accidental touches are rare because the touch area is well placed.
